It offers professional guidance, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience, helping young artists navigate the realities of the contemporary art world.
Now in its third phase, the program shifts its focus to public space—a territory that in Romania remains largely conservative and unaccustomed to contemporary and performative art. This phase challenges artists to engage directly with the city, creating site-specific works that invite dialogue, disrupt norms, and question the boundaries of artistic expression in shared environments.
The visual identity of this phase is built around the tension between limitation and expression, structure and movement, restriction and transformation. Public spaces in Romania often resist artistic interventions, but through works ranging from performances and sound pieces to participatory game-installations, artists reclaim these environments as spaces for interaction and critical reflection.
The design system mirrors this duality - rigid, structured elements reflecting the resistance of public space, while fluid, dynamic forms represent the way art negotiates its presence. It’s a visual statement about the friction, disruption, and eventual integration of contemporary art into the urban landscape.
