Women Holding Women is a cultural project by Seneca Anticafe that builds a support network for women in vulnerable situations, from overburdened mothers and refugees to women who’ve spent their lives caring for others. Through art therapy and creative collaboration, they reconnect with themselves and turn personal stories into collective installations in Bucharest.
I started this visual identity with a belief I’ve carried for a long time: the sea is the greatest mother in the world. The sea, vast, shifting, and patient, became a metaphor for care that holds without controlling. The Cycladic figurines, serene and perfectly balanced, pointed me back to real women: vulnerable, resilient, and wonderfully imperfect. Because none of us is carved in marble. The logo brings these ideas together: three abstract faces leaning into one another, slightly uneven yet alive, a small system of balance and support. Warm blues, gentle contrasts, and quiet balance extend the same feeling throughout the visual language.
An identity built on tenderness and strength, on the belief that care can be a form of power, and togetherness a practice of resilience. Imperfect, alive, and always in motion, like the sea.
